Filipino Streets is a lifestyle clothing brand based in Canada, inspired by Filipino street culture and original artwork. Focused on 'Pushing Filipino Awesome,' it celebrates Filipino strength and a passion for excellence.

TAKEOFF

Omong Chanyungco is the creative behind the designs for Filipino Streets.

Inspired by a passion for designing cool things and keeping up with hype trends, I decided to pursue my dream of starting a clothing brand at age 50, embracing what’s unique in being Filipino. It’s become a meme-worthy move, taking midlife crisis to a whole new level with my brand: @filipinostreets.

CONCEPT

Filipino Streets celebrates Filipino street culture and promotes 'Filipino Awesomeness' through original graphic designs for clothing and accessories. Our brand captures street style and the essence of wearing what you love, aiming to cultivate a deeper cultural connection and represent Filipino identity.

PURPOSE

Moving to Canada proved challenging. After working with the poor in the Philippines and witnessing daily struggles, I always wanted to continue helping. Despite a decade abroad and many struggles, that dream has yet to be fully realized. With Filipino Streets, 10% of all profits from sales and our YouTube channel will be donated to 'ANCOP: Answering the Cry of the Poor' to support this cause, even in a small way.

MORE THAN THE BRAND

I envision Filipino Streets as more than just a brand—it's a celebration of Filipino culture and the essence of growing up in the streets in the Philippines, where every experience shapes who you are. I want it to remind people that pursuing what truly matters to you can inspire and impact others in ways you might not even see. Every choice, no matter how small, has the power to make a difference.

I wanted Filipino Streets to be a reflection of our shared experiences—rooted in Filipino culture and the formative journey of street life. The brand is designed to celebrate the unique path each of us takes, encouraging individuals to express themselves authentically and find joy in their passions. By embracing the richness of Filipino heritage and personal growth, Filipino Streets aims to inspire and uplift, bringing a sense of pride and fulfillment. If our designs and message can spark joy and self-discovery, it fulfills my mission and brings me a deeper sense of purpose.

Life is full of unique stories, and through Filipino Streets, I hope to honor and celebrate those stories, finding beauty in the everyday and encouraging others to do the same.
